The bed which is framed and stacked on top of one another which allows two or more beds to occupy the floors space usually require for just one. This bunk beds for kids are the most convenient for the kids as they occupy only one floor space instead of two or three. The most commonly these beds are used in the ships, military set ups and hostels and dormitories some times summer camps and mostly in prisons too.
Structure of the beds:
This bunk beds for kids are normally supported by pillars or fours poles which are in each corner of the bed.Normally a ladder will be used to climb up to the upper bed which normally with a railing to avoid the sleepers don’t fall from the bed, some kid’s models do have curtains also attached to maintain privacy for the lower bed.As the ladder arrangement is there in the bunk beds the set is not suitable for children below six years of age.
Types of beds:
Standard bunk bed: The has two compartments stacked on one another with same size mattresses one over the other.
Bunk bed and over full two: The bottom size is full size mattress and upper is twin size.
Full over bunk: In this type the bed is wider in which the top and bottom are both of the wider size. It is like a double bed where total of four people can sleep at a time.
Futon bunk: This type is same like standard bunk but the lower bed is in western style futon couch which can covert to bed than the standard mattress.They small apartment due to space constraints and sometime sit can be converted to couch during the day times.
L shaped bunk: It is a L shaped bed and the lower portion is in right angle and to the top bed and it gives L shaped in some beds it creates clove shape where the books can be stored.
Loft bed: In this bed type only, top bed is present which will create a space underneath which can make for chest, drawers and work area.
Triple Loft bed: Three buck are stacked in the triple loft bed. They have combination of beds which is perpendicular and it is attached to L shaped bed it helps the bunk or bunks lowest which has rails to keep the person falling from the bunk or bed.

Bunk beds are usually good in place where there is space constraint like small apartments, small houses and they are good for multiple children at one place of living and occupies less space and accommodate more number of people for living.
